Been a busy week for our family. We spend Sunday at the Magnolia Plantation. What a beautiful place. It was really hot for the kiddos but worth the trip. The best part was a boat ride through the old rice fields watching for birds and gators. Saw plenty of both (only 2 gators...but those who know me know that that is more than enough =). I would love to go back with just my husband (or just solo) and take more pics. I could take rolls and rolls and never get it all.

On the knitting front, still working on DH's sweater. It is coming along well. About 3 inches above the arm holes which means about 7 inches from the neck. Not bad, not bad....

Still pouting about being put on a yarn diet by my DH. I must say, though, that he was right, and I was wrong but taking away new yarn from a knitter is like takin a bottle from a newborn baby. But I digress....

Happy Friday!!!!

I have spent a majority of the day trying to design a pillow cover for my MIL. She makes and sells pillows and has asked me to make a contribution. Me being me, of course I said SURE!!!!! But now I am trying to come up with the perfect pillow and all is not well in the land of design. I have started (and frogged) 2 different designs. As I write this, I am brainstorming hard-core on a new idea and I think it may be a winner....

Another of my current projects is a sweater for my husband. I found the pattern in The Best of Interweave Knits book and LOVE IT!!!!!

What do you think? It is being made in Olive green (per my husbands request) and is really quite stunning, if I may say so myself....

It's Monday, right?

Here it is. Another Monday in a lifetime full of them. I must say, though, that being a stay at home mom makes it kind of hard to keep track of days, especially in the summer when there is no school.

I have spent a majority of the day trying to finish my daughter's blanket that I am knitting for her to put in her bedroom at her dad's house. She doesn't care for the polka dot one that her soon to be step-mom picked out. Can't say that I blame her there....

My children are pushing me closer and closer to the edge. My son Maddox, who is 2, has decided that his sister makes a wonderful punching bag and is CONVINCED that she loves to be pushed over. As Olivia is my daughter, she expresses her disdain immediately and promptly runs to mommy for a consolation hug before running off to begin the whole process again. I am rather anxiously waiting the day that she suddenly decides that she has had quite enough of the bullying and wails him a good one. Again....she IS my daughter.
